Autumn is in the air, and harvest festival is upon us!
As the weather turns chilly, we’d love it if you could support local people who are struggling to heat their homes and put food on the table by supporting our harvest appeal:
- If your school, workplace, church or community group would like to organise a food collection this harvest, please take a look at our harvest shopping list. This year, St Petrock’s and Exeter Foodbank have issued a joint flyer to help co-ordinate resources; however, each charity is still collecting separately. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org / 07818 226524 if you would like to arrange a collection – we can pick up from you!
(To save our volunteers’ backs, please ensure that food is in carrier bags or small boxes prior to collection. Please also note we cannot take any fresh produce due to our storage limitations – thank you for your understanding.)
- We would be very happy to give a talk to your group this autumn about the work of the foodbank. Please contact Mark Richardson, foodbank manager, to arrange this.
- We have also produced some harvest prayer reflections, which you might like to use in your church or small group this harvest; these can be downloaded here.
Thank you very much for all your support of local people in need!
